It’s hard enough to discern God’s voice at times. But to feel like you’re being surrounded by others who seem to be overflowing with good news about how God has been speaking to them can feel… alienating (or irritating!) at best. 🫢
Does God love me less?
Maybe I’m doing something wrong.
What is it I’m not getting right?
Am I on the “wrong frequency”?
When a young lady asked me recently why I often (from her perspective) could discern God’s voice or hand in my life, I stared back, pensive, because I wanted to share a genuine answer. So often, I struggle too!
I shared this- with all honesty, I think God speaks to us all, all the time, through the sunrise and the sunset, through the little things and grand coincidences of our lives.
But it’s the practice of intentional reflection that enables us to connect the dots, between circumstances and words and seemingly disparate situations… in a constellation that enables us to see His divine hand amidst a galaxy of confusion.
If you’re struggling to discern His doing in your life, I hope this encourages you. And even if you don’t feel Him still, know this- even in His silence, His heart reaches towards us, still.
