When a friend of mine felt led to gift me a 3-day retreat on a nearby island, I was scandalized by the thought. What? A retreat? Isn’t rest a luxury?
So I left her text message unanswered. For months. (Yikes!)
But as time passed, I entered a season of wilderness. A hunger for Him to speak amidst the distractions of every day life grew. So, I finally said yes.
I embarked on my own retreat guide I’d created a year ago called UNBOUND AND SET FREE. I entered it with suspicion, but left with greater clarity and deeper conviction in areas of my life I’d been struggling with for so long.
But hey, not all of us need to get on a plane or book a hotel to spend time with God. While that’s a great opportunity, God presents Himself to us right where we are.
This Lent and upcoming Easter, if you feel led to spend time with God to tend to your inner spirit, all you need is to carve out some time in your day to spend undistracted time with Him, unplugged from your work and devices.
Comment SET FREE below, and I’d love to share my retreat guide with you. Tag a friend you’d like to encourage to find rest in God this season 🌱
Praying with you for greater freedom and breakthrough. 💛
