*To my blog readers, feel free to comment NEW on this post and you can receive the link to my retreat guide 🙂
In a new year where everyone’s eager to make new resolutions and commitments, may I invite you to come away for a while instead to create space for God?
Instead of carving out time for new pursuits, fresh commitments and more work, why not create time and make room first for some sacred practices?
This can look like mapping out life-changing regular practices such as:
– daily journaling or reflections
– daily quiet time and Bible reading
– weekly Sabbath (especially if you serve on Sundays)
– weekly marriage talks (to pray, envision and work out stuff together)
– fortnightly meetings with mentors
– regular meetings with trusted friends
– regular time in nature and exercise
– monthly meetings with a therapist
– quarterly retreats
Creating more room for God to do less will never be a mistake. May your laying down bring a fresh surrender for the new things He’ll do in your life 💛🌈🙌🏾
