Sometimes, in spite of our best efforts, we just don’t know how much our little ones are really learning from us. Does a morning devotional or daily Bible reading really make a difference?
But this video reminds me- that as much as we’re quick to say they’re “too young” to understand the Bible, baptism or more, we might just be surprised by how much faith our little ones do have, and how much they do know.
Who are we to judge them?
This December, I’m looking forward to giving away my favorite bilingual kids’ devotionals- “Jesus Wants All of Me,” 365-day kids’ bite-sized devotionals from Christian heavyweight Oswald Chambers, whose original devotional “My Utmost For His Highest” never fails to challenge me.
This morning, as I resolved to teach my kids the Chinese song “Don’t worry” by Streams of Praise after sleepless nights, tears gushed out of my eyes when today’s kids’ devotional, the one I’d planned a giveaway for, had “Don’t worry” as its core message.
How real God is. 😭😭😭
“Why are you crying, Mama?”
“My knee hurts and I’m struggling,” I said.
“Don’t give up, Mama.”
I hope the reality of His care will be made known to you this Christmas, in spite of any circumstances you might be grappling with.
