When you feel like you’ve tried everything but are still in each other’s hair, what can you do? 🌋
Indeed, it can be downright discouraging. With social media portraying everyone’s best couple highlights, it can feel like you’re the only couple going through a hard time. 💔
The truth? You’re not alone. ❤️🩹
All marriages go through mountain and valley seasons, some lasting longer than others. 🏔️
If you asked Cliff and I in the 7th year of our marriage, after we’d moved the nth time around the world with all kinds of trauma and personal baggage we’d accumulated, how our marriage was like, we’d tell you it was in a hard place.
But now, looking back, we’re grateful we walked through the valley together. For it was in the valley that our commitment to each other was wrought out, it was in the depths of our pain that we sought help and discovered powerful tools to be better individuals and a stronger couple.
If you’re stuck in a rut in your conflicts, don’t see it as a red flag. See it as a signpost, an opportunity for deeper growth, alone and together.
You both can do this. 💪🏾
Tag your spouse to remind them of your commitment💛💛💛
