When I first began this series of works, a strong word I felt in my heart was “RENEWAL.”
How could that be, when so much of our lives is stuck in the mire and mud of the past?
But I’m reminded of the blind man who saw again after Jesus mixed mud with his spit, and placed them on his eyes.
Through the mud, He created sight.
Through the mire, He created new life.
Every day, we find every way to avoid the mud in our lives. We bury, avoid, get rid of it.
But here we see something vastly different. It was this very mud that God chose to use in His way of restoring the blind man’s sight, giving him a new lease of life.
You see, the mud in our lives can be used for God’s greater purposes and glory.
I learnt, that we mustn’t let the dirt and grime of our past hold us back from the possibility of a regenerative miracle.
The man regained his sight when he obeyed and went to the pool of Siloam to wash. Obedience, friends, is the key to our renewal and regaining sight, vision, purpose.
Without that, we can never fulfill God’s best dreams for our lives.
No matter how many times you’ve failed, no matter how broken or low you think you’ve gone, know that you can start afresh, again.
