This year, with all our travelling and packing, we honestly weren’t well prepared for Christmas with the kids.
Every year we try to slow down and return to the nativity story — so we don’t forget what Christmas is really about.
But on Christmas Eve morning… we had no plans. 😭 We didn’t have a printer, none of our usual craft supplies were with us.
All I had was a $1.75 modelling clay from Dollarama.
I felt a little sad, thinking we’d missed our chance to make the day meaningful.
But as we sat together, something simple began to take form.
Our 8-year old made the stage using an empty tissue box. The only two pieces of origami we had were serendipitously made of constellations! She made part of Mary and her belongings! Our 6-year old made Baby Jesus, the ducks and…
Cliff made the star 😂!

If your Christmas feels simple — or a bit unput-together — maybe that’s okay.
Maybe the most meaningful thing isn’t what we create,
but who we sit with,
and Who we remember. 🤍
