Sometimes you can be surrounded by abundance
and still feel profoundly unseen.
Not because anyone did something wrong —
but because no one asked about the parts of your life
that changed you.
In times where your life decisions have been costly and do not fit into neat boxes of the world…
curiosity for banter, surface-level chatter, being shown abundance while you struggle with the basics of life in a different world and the feeling of being unseen in a loud room can feel strangely suffocating.

Today, I’m holding that sadness gently.
This has always been the hardest part of being in this part of the world.
