One of my simplest pleasures in the UK has been my late night suppers of hot milk with cocoa powder, granola and Greek yogurt as I freeze in the cold— all of which taste so good in the UK.

It surprises people when they know that in many parts of Africa, mik has an odd and unfresh taste because pasteurization technology isn’t quite the same.
So to be able to drink real fresh milk, eat crunchy high-quality granola and yoghurt— felt like a warm hug.
I’ll miss this nightly ritual.
Also… in so many countries, like in Tanzania and Canada, decaf coffee is not widely available.
And in countries like Singapore or Perth, you’re penalized with an extra dollar for it.
The UK felt like walking into a warm embrace when it’s the only place I’ve found with an affordable decaf latte— wow, it’s been years since I had a good one.
I will miss this. Thank you God, for picking the UK for me!
