As a family, we made a list to pray over for what we wanted in our next home.
We prioritized our must-haves vs negotiables…
But above all, Cliff reminded me that we ought to pray with Faith and Hope as a family.
There were days I felt so discouraged that I would pray listlessly, to the point where I felt I didn’t want to mention anything about the house anymore.
But Cliff reminded me that it’s healthy for our kids to see our desires and how we transform that into hope-filled prayer.
Since then, we’ve continued to pray—not hopelessly, but with Hope that reflects our relationship with a good Father.

I almost cried when my 6-year-old brought home this craft she made at school last week.
What a timely word: HOPE.

And after I shared my unicorn story with them… we each drew our own unicorns as a family activity, presenting our requests to Him.
I was shocked that they’d memorized—
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God…” (Phil 4:6–7) ✨

Cliff, the self-proclaimed non-artist, is never exempt from our artistic exploits as a family. Can you guess which his drawing is?
