Once, years ago, when my then-18-month old firstborn refused to put on her coat and insisted on plunging herself into the snowy blizzard outside, I found myself pinning her down to the ground in a public carpark, with her screaming and kicking, with people walking by us, staring.
They were the same people who’d attend the keynote speech I was to deliver at the conference next door that afternoon.
Over the years, I’ve learnt so much from my children. I’ve learnt- there are no perfect children, and no perfect parents too.
We will keep making mistakes. We will be stared at. But we can keep growing. We can keep learning. For that’s when we can truly make a difference to our children’s lives, and beyond. 💛
