Recently, I felt disturbed when my girls told me about extended family members commenting about their weight and bodies.
It’s no secret how Asian families love talking about one another’s weight, even though how someone looks really is the least interesting thing about them.
Today, we talked about celebrating all body types and what shocked me was what they proposed saying when someone said they were “too thin” or “too fat.”
I hope you’ll always remember how beautiful you are.
How you never need to be thinner or bigger or taller or shorter or fairer or more tanned than the way God made you to be.
I hope I’ll equip you with the words laced with strength and grace to stand strong for yourself when those words come yr way to tear you down.
Don’t you let them.
