“I am not enough.”
Do you ever feel that way?
I do.
In a world that demands perfection and performance, we get breathless, daily.
Loved ones might pat us on the back to cheer us up, “Of course you’re enough! Look at all you’ve DONE!”
But the gap remains. Because what we DO can never fill that empty space. Only understanding WHO we are, WHOSE we are, can.
The truth is- maybe we aren’t enough for this world.
And what if that’s okay?
Only Jesus is.
You see, faith closes the gap. Our faith in His power working through us, renewing us inwardly day by day even though we are outwardly wasting away, and tell us, “You feel so small, and that’s okay.”
His grace tells us, “I don’t demand perfection, but progress.”
His love covers our gaps, the loopholes, the gaping spaces desperate for hope.
What if you told God today, “Jesus, I’m not enough. Only you’re enough for this world.”
Let’s do it. And feel our burdens lift.
