Can you truly live a life of meaning if your past is marked by trauma, neglect and pain? If you, like me, have struggled with that, this episode is for you ππ
I sat down with Ps. Jeanette Salguero, who grew up in the throes of deep trauma, pain and poverty, to explore how we can lead and love from a place of wholenessβeven when our past tells a different story.π
Her story on her sonβs response when she received death threats for her work helping vulnerable communities moved me most. (Watch the reel till the end). Her journey proves that your past does not define your future.β¨
Now a pastor at The Gathering in Orlando, FL, Vice President of the National Latino Evangelical Coalition, and Director of the Carrion Hispanic Leadership Institute at Southeastern University, Jeanette has become a powerful voice on issues that affect Latino communities in the United States and advocates regularly at the White House. Focusing on immigration, education, and health, Jeanette was honored by the Department of Health & Human Services as one of the top 15 women in USA for her leadership and work with vulnerable populations.
