One of the most painful things about being maligned is never having the chance to defend yourself.
But perhaps, this is what trusting God is- it’s trusting He will defend us even when we are defenseless.
Recently, a rumor about Cliff had gone around, and it stunned me how every single person who received it circled back to us and said they knew it wasn’t true.

I can only pray and hope my name will come through. That the people who know me would stand for me and discern the truth.
As a personal challenge of faith, I want to see if in this situation, I can trust God to defend me without my saying a word to anyone.
All I will stand on is prayer and my name. Will it stand?
I just remind myself- that your people will be your people. And sometimes, it takes trials like this to see who your people really are.
