As we say goodbye to our home and this precious wall with its special story behind it, we are filled with anticipation, excitement, but also a tinge of sad nostalgia.
When we return, this will no longer be our home.
The wall, now a treasure of love-filled scrawls, will be painted over by another.
As we say goodbye to things that mean much to us, we are reminded of how He risked all, and risked Himself for us… and of how we too, must risk ourselves for a faith that must be walked out daily, steadfastly, and intentionally in this next phase of our lives.
Thank you for all yr love, prayers and encouragement.
It’s time to say goodbye…
… but at least we’ve got each other,
and God with us.
Love,
Team Tam.
“God risked Himself on me.
I will risk myself on you.
And together, we will learn to love,
and perhaps then, and only then,
understand this gravity that drew Him,
unto us.”

Keep listening to the Coach and you’ll both be awesome 🙂
You will miss (and already are missing!) that wonderful and inspiring wall (and many other people and things), but remember what Jesus told the twelve about picking up and following him:
—
So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time – houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions – and in the age to come, eternal life.” (NKJV, Mark 10:29-30)
—
You will have a hundred more walls – or other equivalents that will mean just as much to you and that will inspire others just as much – in your journey ahead. Leave yourselves open and let God surprise you, as he has done many times already 🙂
Lizzy and I are praying for Team Tam. Go Go Go Team Tam!
