Grateful that so many of you resonated with this.
For a long time, I’ve wondered if our education system emphasizing milestones, achievements and awards has contributed to our worldview to chronically need external yardsticks.
I’m grateful- that the past two years have been that of healing from some very toxic relationships i allowed to govern my life— in and outside of church circles… who claimed authority over what i wrote, spoke and posted, even if they never had the right to.
If you’ve posted content before and have been trolled, scrutinized or criticized… you’ll know the awful vulnerability hangover feeling you get after posting something close to your heart.
So I’m thankful for friends who saw my latest series of IG reels called “Things No One Told You” and immediately reached out to help remind me that external validation doesn’t define who we are and what we do— our internal motivations does.
And to remind me to finish sharing what I’ve created and not to back out, because they know the extent of bullying I’ve received before- sadly not just from strangers, but some very painful relationships.
This series really is my retaliation to all the fear and control I allowed to wield over my life for years.
To Cliff, to those of you who’ve left me messages on how this space has encouraged you and spoken to you deeply, to you who have taken time to read my writing and now, watch my videos… I’m grateful to have found my voice again. 💛
I’m grateful for you. 🥹
This digital series is for the me who has to self-silence and censure for years before I felt free to share here without fear…
… and for you.

Here’s sharing one of them here.
