From the charming clean streets of Oxford, to the charming dusty streets of Kilimajaro. What a contrast!
I love how a dog just never hides its emotions- I missed you, Courage!

Was amazed by how he cried aloud when he saw me- then did some crazy rounds… the joy and excitement of a dog!
And we are back to Tanzanian stews and chapatis —
what another contrast!

But this feels like home.
Even if we returned to just a trickle of water, before it went out completely again.
Even if the problem is more complicated than usual, and required three men to be involved to try and problem solve (seems like a leaking pipe underground might be the cause, which will take days to investigate because it involves manual digging.)

What really, truly warms my heart the most is the response of my girls—
“Mama, let me show you how to wash your hands. See this vitamin bottle? See the bucket? You do it like this.”
“Mama, I feel like we are preparing for camping! Back to basics!”

This touched me so much 🥹
My 8-year old’s card and my 6-year old’s first attempt at an incredible clay model— reminded me of what I do for them on their birthdays 🥹
Truly, when we’re together, nothing is insurmountable.
