So thankful that in spite of a long power cut today, our girls simply said, “Ain’t no power cut gonna ruin our BEST & First Christmas Eve in Africa!!! Let’s just have a picnic outside!”

We had such a special evening with American missionaries last evening, enjoying a traditional American Christmas in the heart of Africa 💛

I loved all the traditional Christmas food everyone prepared, but was a little tongue-tied when asked what I usually cook for Christmas back home and what I’d make today because…

I made Bak Kut Teh (a Singaporean pork rib tea soup) which I’d brought a spice packet all the way from Singapore for the family in Africa!

Plus… a birthday party at an African classmate’s house 😱
The front gate blew us away.
