The day I came out of quarantine from returning from my deployment to Africa, I walked down the familiar, eclectic row of shophouses with chicken rice take-out for the family, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar face.
“Hello, Wai Jia! Is that you, are you back!”
Somehow, in that moment, I knew God was in it- these serendipitous encounters are often marks of His fingerprints.
A coffee later, this IG chat on “Purpose & Sacrifice” – the first of a series of three by Isaac on Cultivating a Healthy Relationship with Work, birthed. No rehearsals, no detailed planning. Just @isaacong being in his element. When I received the title of the IG chat a day before we went live, I knew he understood the essence of my life’s story.
All day, I felt lightheaded. Being on my first IG live felt scarier than going on stage to preach. Yet, authentic questions and warm comments poured in.
Who knew the depth of what we’d share on:
– Finding courage to embrace fear amidst uncertainty
– Discovering our inner compasses
– Clarifying our values and
– Walking out our whys- each and every day. ❤️
If you’re struggling with finding meaning at work, purpose in your life and wondering when it’s time to call it quits, I hope this IGTV episode on Purpose & Sacrifice will encourage you ❤️✨
For those who listened in, thank you for sending in your personal messages of epiphany, revelation and hope- they brought tears to my eyes ❤️
What was your greatest takeaway or a quote that hit you hardest? I’d love to hear from you ❤️
