A prayer letter I typed to my friends:
Dear friends,
You are receiving this because you are a special blessing in my life. Thank you for journeying with me thus far 🙂
I leave with a small team to Myanmar tomorrow on a mission trip, and will return next Wed late at night. We will be going there for a short 5 days to bless and encourage the people and children at an orphanage in which we have ongoing ministry, and I’ve been tasked to share some messages/give some teachings to the orphans.
Wld really appreciate yr prayers as I’m at a loss as to what to share with the kids- This is the first time i feel so speechless! Some of the items you donated to me on my birthday will go to blessing the poor there- thank you for yr generosity! 🙂
Missions long term in the field is still very much on my heart and if you cld, wld really appreciate yr prayers on these 3 items:
1. That our team and I may be a blessing to the children. (and I’ll have a good message to share with the orphans!)
2. That God will draw me closer to Him and refresh me in this time.
3. That He would speak to me regarding His calling for my life in missions.
On a separate note, these first 2 months as a junior doctor has truly been an experience. What with death, illness, and our human failings staring at us in the face, it is a relief and comfort to know that in spite of everything, God is in control. I’ve been enjoying doctoring very much, though am thankful to be leaving for a short 5-day mission trip tomorrow as I’m a little burnt out!
Thank you for being a blessing to me on my journey. Please send me any prayer requests you may have as well! Wld love to hear from and pray for you 🙂 🙂
Blessings,
Wai Jia 🙂
